Movie: A Soldiers Love Story (2010)
Film Synopsis:
Ten-year-old Jared Marshalls life was shattered after his parents divorce a year ago. Not only did his father put his job first, his mother uprooted him from Iowa by moving in with Ma so he could take a job in California. When Jareds class writes letters to U.S. troops in Bosnia from a nearby base, Sergeant First Class Vince Carerra, who grew up with a divorced father because his wife was unfaithful while he was on a tour of duty, takes the boy to heart and begins the correspondence with fatherly advice. After his unit returns to Fort Sebastian, Vince calls Jared home, being greeted warmly. Vince becomes Jareds personal baseball coach and after some cupid prodding, his mothers boyfriend, but on the understanding not to commit as he is likely to be rehired.
