Film Synopsis:
Of the approximately 600 players in the National Hockey League, Thirty Are Black. Mattie Slaughter, a hockey phenom from the rural black community of North Preston, wants to make it thirty-one. To achieve her goals, Mattie needs to keep her nose clean and stay out of trouble. Its hard to do, when you go to a school where racism taints every interaction, your brother is a cheater and you destroyed a girl who was already connected.
