Movie: American Friends (1991)

Film Synopsis:
Francis Ashby, a senior Oxford Don on a holiday alone in the Alps, meets holidaymaker Caroline and her companion Elinor, the blooming Irish-American girl he adoption years earlier. Ashby finds he enjoys their company, especially that of Elinor, and both women are attracted to him. Back at Oxford he remains surprised when they arrive unannounced.
