Movie: An Officer and a Gentleman (1982)

Film Synopsis:
Zack Mayo is a solitary man, Taciturn who dreams of becoming a Navy pilot. Once he arrives at boot camp for the 13-week officers course, Mayo clashes with no-nonsense drill sergeant Emil Foley. Mayo was an excellent cadet, but a little cold around the heart, so Foley rode him mercilessly, sensing that the young man would have been prime officer material if he had not been so involved.
