Film Synopsis:
A sprawling Russian drama, this film focuses on the life of revered religious icon painter Andrei Rublev. Floating from place to place in a tumultuous era, the peace-seeking monk eventually earns a reputation for his art. But after Rublev witnessed a brutal battle and was accidentally involved, he vowed silence and spent time away from work.
