Movie: Atlantis Interceptors (1983)
Film Synopsis:
A team of scientists working to raise a sunken Russian nuclear submarine on a sea platform off the coast of Miami, Florida, unearths relics of ancient Atlantis from the seabed and bring in an expert to understand it. But while attempting to upgrade the sub, a radioactive leak from its missile triggers the reappearance of Atlantis, and the resulting tidal wave destroys the platform and leaves only a small group of survivors. Rescued by two Vietnamvets-turned-heavies who were out relaxing after their last job, their boat eventually ran aground on a nearby Caribbean island where, upon landing, it was discovered that everything had been destroyed and everyone had been killed. The Culprits, a vicious group of well-armed raiders, and their leader, Crystal Skull, are descendants of the original race of Atlantis who began to reclaim the world and add survivors to the list of victims as they fight to stay alive and defeat the Raiders and send Atlantis back to seabed.
