On the eve of independence, Chairman of the Boundary Commission, Sir Cyril Radcliffe decided to divide India and Pakistan into two equal parts. What the administration did not take into account was the line running through the middle of the Begum Jaan brothel located in Plonk on the border; with half falling in India and the other in Pakistan.
