Film Synopsis:
Its 2017 in Bisbee, Arizona, an old copper mining town just a few miles from the Mexican border. The towns close-knit community is preparing to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Bisbees darkest hour: the infamous Bisbee Deportation of 1917, in which 1,200 striking miners were violently taken from their homes, thrown into the middle of the desert, and left to die. The townspeople confront their violent and misunderstood past by staging a dramatic recreation of the escalating strike. These dramatized scenes are based on subjective versions of the story and are "directed," in a sense, by residents with conflicting views of the events. The deeply personal segments torn apart from the familys history build towards a massive recovery from the deportation itself on the exact day of the 100th anniversary.
