Film Synopsis:
During World War II, millions of Jews from all over Europe were deported and murdered in German concentration camps. When German troops invaded Norway, Norwegian Jews felt safe and protected. But anti-Semitism knew no borders and as war escalated in Europe, the situation changed drastically. Suddenly, their radio is taken; Their passports were stamped with a big J and one day, all the men over the age of 15 were arrested and taken to prison camps. Many of the women left behind were too afraid to escape and desperately waited for their husbands and sons to return home. On November 26, 1942, hundreds of Jews were picked up by police in the middle of the night and transported to the docks in Oslo. Unknowing and afraid men, women, children, sick and old were forced to board the waiting German cargo ship "SS Donau".
