Movie: Christmas Story (2007)
Film Synopsis:
Hundreds of years ago in Lapland, a boy named Nikolas lost his family in an accident. The villagers decided to look after the orphans together. Once a year - at Christmas - Nikolas moves to a new house. To show his gratitude, Nikolas decides to make toys for the familys children as goodbye gifts. Over the years, Nikolas former host family became numerous, and soon almost every household had a presence on their doorstep on Christmas morning. At thirteen, Nikolas was sent to live and work with Iisakki, a grumpy old carpenter, who forbade Nikolas to continue making gifts for Christmas. But gradually, Nikolas won Iisakkis trust. Together they began to maintain the traditional Christmas that Nikolas had started. When the aging Iisakki has to leave Nikolas and move away, the tradition of Christmas gifts is once again at risk.
