Movie: El palo (2001)
Film Synopsis:
Lola is a single mother, broke, working as a janitor and waitress. Silvia is pregnant, and her lover (her boss) will not leave his wife. Maite, newly widowed, finds she has no money but wants to keep up appearances and give her daughter a lavish wedding, and Pecholata, a punk kid living in a youth center, soon finds herself on the streets. Lola, who cleans the bank every morning, decides to rob it, convinces the others to join her: they will use replica guns, dress as men, take Silvia hostage, and everything will be smooth. But everything goes awry, including the fact that Lolas ex, Gustavo, is a cop. Desperation may be the mother of invention - and corrupt bank managers its father.
