Movie: Equus (1977)

Film Synopsis:
A psychiatrist, Martin Dysart, investigates the blinding of six horses with metal spikes in a stable in Hampshire, England. The atrocities were committed by a simple seventeen-year-old boy named Alan Strang, the only son of an opinionated but in-time father and a polite, religious mother.
