Movie: Hell Is for Heroes (1962)
Film Synopsis:
A World War II drama where the action centers around a single maneuver by GIS troops in retaliation against the forces of the German Siegfried line. Reese joins a group of tired GIS suddenly ordered back to the line while on their way to the rest area. While most of the men withdrew from their positions facing the German pillboxes on the far side of the mine field, half a dozen men were left to cover the broad front. By various means, they succeeded in convincing the Germans that a great power still held that position. Then Reese led two men in an unauthorized and unsuccessful raid on a pillbox, in which two others were killed; And when the lead platoon returned, he was threatened with a military court.
