Movie: I Am (2010)
Film Synopsis:
I am a thoroughly engaging and entertaining non-fiction film that raises two practical and provocative questions: what is wrong with our world, and what is what can we do to make it better? The filmmaker behind the investigation is Tom Shadyac, one of Hollywoods leading practitioners of comedy and the creative force behind such blockbusters as "ace venture," "liar liar," "the mad professor," and "Bruce Almighty." However, in me, Shadyac steps in front of the camera to tell what happened to him after a cycling accident left him paralyzed, possibly forever. Although he eventually recovered, he emerged with a new sense of purpose, determined to share his own awakening to a previous life of excess and greed, and to explore how he as an individual, and we as a race, could improve the way we live and walk in the world.
