Film Synopsis:
Through unprecedented backstage access and candid interviews, this film weaves through the absurd world of working comedians and reveals deep psychological profiles crazy and funny from practitioners. We also follow retired comic Ritch Shydners attempts to return to the stage after a thirteen year hiatus. At the top of his game in the 1980s, Shydner had HBO Specials, shot five TV show pilots, and numerous late night appearances (Carson, Letterman, Leno, etc.) but good timing eluded him. Equipped with the collective wisdom and crazy musings of more than 80 of his peers, he tried again. Does Ritch have what it takes to connect with todays young crowd and still have a laugh?
