Movie: Identification Marks None (1965)
Film Synopsis:
The footloose ennui of Polands postwar generation is perfectly captured in this jazzy chronicle of the final days of draft-Dodger freedom. A slacker before there was a word for it, Andrzej (played by Skolimowski himself) drifts through a series of frank encounters with women following wake-up arguments with his sullen wife, and a long-overdue military physical (the films title comes from one of the questions). Skolimowski hoarded four years of annual footage from LOdz Film School to create this first feature marked by compositional boldness and a trademark air of the absurd. -Barbara Scharres, Gene Siskel Film Center Uploaded by: Freeman January 07, 2023 at 08:42
