Movie: In Absentia (2000)
Film Synopsis:
A woman sits alone in a chair at a table in a room on one of the upper floors of the sanctuary. Bright spot lights dot the night, sometimes shining in the windows. He sharpened his pencil and wrote on the inside page of a copybook. The pencil point often broke under the force of his fingers. He placed the broken points outside the window on the sill. A demonic figure was somewhere nearby, animated but of straw or clay, not flesh. He finished writing, tore the paper from the pad, folded it, placed it in an envelope, and slipped it through the slot. Did she write to her husband? "Darling, come."
