Movie: Inside Deep Throat (2005)
Film Synopsis:
In 1972, a seemingly typical budget pornographic film was shot at a Florida hotel, "Deep Throat," starring Linda Lovelace. The film would exceed the wildest expectations of everyone involved to become one of the most successful independent films of all time. It captured a public imagination that fed the spirit of the times, even as the self-appointed guardians of public morality struggled to suppress it, and created, for a brief moment, the possibility of a future in which sexuality in film had bold artistic potential. The film covers the story of the making of this controversial film, its stunning success, its hysterical opposition along with the dark side of mob influence and the alleged abuse of film stars.
