Made shortly after his death, this documentary explores the short life and extraordinary legacy of guitarist Jimi Hendrix. After finding fame in England, Hendrix brought his act back to the U.S., where his influential playing style left a burning imprint on an entire generation of musicians. Using interviews with family and contemporaries, such as Eric Clapton, as well as blistering live performances from Woodstock and the Isle of Wight, the film paints an indelible portrait of the rock n roll legend.
