Film Synopsis:
In Louis Malles acclaimed drama, Lucien Lacombe is a young man living in rural France during World War II who attempts to join the French resistance. When he was rejected because of his youth, Lucien resented it himself with the Nazis and joined their Gallic arm of the Gestapo. Lucien grows to enjoy the power that comes with his position, but his life is complicated when he falls in love with France, a beautiful young Jewish woman.
