Movie: Leaving Afghanistan (2019)

Film Synopsis:
1988-1989. End of the Soviet-Afghan War. The USSR begins its withdrawal from Afghanistan. The son of Soviet General Vasiliev - a pilot named Alexander was kidnapped by mujahideen after the crash of his plane. As a result, the 108th Motorized Infantry Divisions long-awaited home is postponed for one final mission: bringing the generals son back. Based on true events, the previously untold story of the brave and tragic withdrawal campaign (through the Salang Pass) reveals the horrors of danger and the complexity of human nature during wartime.
