Movie: Machuca (2004)
Film Synopsis:
Santiago, Capital of Chile during the highly controversial elected Marxist Government of President Salvador Allende. Father McEnroe supported leftist views by introducing a program at the prestigious "Collegio" (Catholic Preparatory School) of St. Johns. Patrick to allow free confession of some proletarian children. One of them is Pedro Machuca, the slum-raised son of the cleaning lady in the house of Liberal-bourgeois Gonzalo Infante. But the new classmates become friends, paradoxically protesting together when Gonzalo is adopted by Pedros family and slum gang.
