Film Synopsis:
Quirky and rebellious April Burns lives with her boyfriend in the lowly New York City apartment of her emotionally distant family. But when he discovers that his mother has a fatal form of breast cancer, he invites the clan over to his place for Thanksgiving. While her father struggles to get the family into town, April - an inexperienced cook - runs into kitchen trouble and has to ask the neighbors for help.
