Movie: Princess Yang Kweifei (1955)

Film Synopsis:
In eighth century China, an emperor mourns the death of his wife. The Yang family wanted to give the Emperor an empress so they could consolidate their influence over the court. A Lushan general found a distant relative working in their kitchen whom they presented to the Emperor. The Emperor fell in love with her and she became Princess Yang Kwei-Fei. Yangs was then appointed as an important minister, although Lushan was not given the court position he desired.
