Film Synopsis:
All her life, Englishwoman Gladys Aylward has known that China is where she belongs. Ineligible to be sent there as a missionary, Gladys worked as a domestic to earn money to send herself to the poor and remote village. There he finally lives a full and happy life: running an inn, acting as a "foot inspector", advising local mandarins, and even winning the heart of the mixed-race captain Lin Nan. But Gladys discovers her true destiny when the country is attacked by Japan and the Chinese children need her to save their lives. Based on a true story.
