Ex-Army Officer Jameson takes a prison guard job at San Quentin. Joe, the brother of Mays new boyfriend, is sentenced to prison for robbery. As Jameson tries to separate outlaws from hardened criminals, Badguy Hansen tries to stir up trouble by telling Joe about Jamesons interest in his sister.
