Film Synopsis:
Lakshmi is a thirteen year old girl who lives with her family in a small hut on a mountain in Nepal. When the Himalayan monsoon wiped out all the familys remaining crops, Lakshmis father said he had to leave home and take a job to support his family. He introduces her to a glamorous stranger who tells her that she will find work as a waitress in the city. Glad to be of help, Lakshmis journey to India and arrival at the "home of happiness" is full of hope.
