Film Synopsis:
Can a girl from Little Rock find happiness with a mature French planter she gets to know one enchanted night far from the military hospital where she is a nurse ? Or should he wash it out of his hair? Bloody Mary is the islands philosopher and its hard to believe that she could be the mother of clay who has captured the heart of USMC Lieutenant Joseph Cable. While awaiting action in the war in the South Pacific, sailors and nurses put on a musical comedy show. War draws near and the story of Nellie Forbush and Emile de Becque becomes a serious drama.
