Film Synopsis:
Carl and Jessie are half-siblings who feel trapped by the existential and economic pressures of life in the small mining town of Canaan, Ohio. Their mutual rebellion soon takes the form of a forbidden love affair depicted in an interwoven sequence of lusty poetics and ethnographic verite.
