Film Synopsis:
Drawing inspiration from a poem written by Castro Alves, this film vividly captures the political, cultural, and intellectual climate of Brazil during the late 1970s. At its core, the story revolves around four typical incarnations of the image of Christ: a black man, a soldier, an Indian, and a guerrilla fighter. These brave men, hailed as harbingers of doom in the land of Tupiniquim, valiantly fought the insatiable greed and brutality of the oppressive "civilization" spread by the formidable John Brahms - a foreign exploiter without morals.
