Film Synopsis:
At the start of World War II, Cmdr. Ericson was assigned to the Escort convoy HMS Compass Rose with inexperienced officers and men just out of training. The winter seas made life miserable enough, but the men also had to harden themselves to rescue survivors of U-boat attacks, while rarely being able to strike back.
