Film Synopsis:
Opposing a state legislature that outlaws abortion, a Catholic Church that condemns it, and a Chicago mob that profits from it, the members of "Jane" risk their personal and professional lives to support women with unwanted pregnancies. In the pre-Roe v. Wade—while abortion is a crime in most states and even circulating information about abortion is a crime in Illinois—Janes provides free, low-cost abortions to approximately 11,000 women.
