Film Synopsis:
The ruthless and moneyed Hubbard clan lives in, and poisons, their part of the Deep South at the turn of the 20th century. Regina Giddons Nee Hubbard has her daughter under her thumb. Mrs. Giddons was estranged from her husband, who was meeting in Baltimore and suffering from a terminal illness. But he needs her home, and will manipulate his daughter into helping bring him back. He has a shady business deal that he cooked up with his two older brothers, Oscar and Ben. Oscar has an unhappy and unhappy wife and a worm of a dishonest son.
