Movie: The Magnetic Monster (1953)

Film Synopsis:
The Office of Scientific Investigation tracks the source of increased magnetism and radioactivity in Los Angeles, and finds that man-made isotopes consume the available energy from nearby masses every few hours, doubling size in the process. Although microscopic, it will soon be large enough to destroy the Earth; and how to stop it has not yet been determined.
