Movie: The Odd Angry Shot (1979)
Film Synopsis:
A group of soldiers from the Australian SAS regiment are deployed to Vietnam circa 1967/8 and face the realities of war, from the numbing boredom of camp life and long-distance patrols, raids and ambushes where nothing happens, to the eternal terror of mortar barrages of an invisible enemy. Men die and are crippled in battle by crossfire and booby traps, soldiers kill and capture the enemy, gather intelligence and reclaim land only to hand it over again while battling bureaucracy and the intransigence of conventional military hierarchies.
