Movie: The Scarlet Letter (1995)

Film Synopsis:
Set in Puritan Boston in the mid-1600s, the story of the dressmaker Hester Prynne, who is banished after she becomes pregnant by the Reverend. She refuses to divulge the name of the father, is "convicted" of adultery and forced to wear the scarlet "A" until Indian raids unite the Puritans and lead to a re-evaluation of their laws and morals.
