Movie: The Shepherd of the Hills (1941)

Film Synopsis:
Young Matthews, an Ozark mountain moonshiner, hates the father hes never seen, who apparently abandoned Matts mother and left her for dead. His obsession contributes to the hatred that runs rampant in the mountains. However, the arrival of a stranger, Daniel Howitt, begins to influence the mountain people positively, who learn to let go of their hatred under his gentle influence.
