Film Synopsis:
Marlon Riggs, with help from other gay black men, most notably poet Essex Hemphill, celebrates black men loving black men as a revolutionary act. The film intercuts with footage of Hemphill reading his poetry, Riggs telling stories of growing up, scenes of the men in social relationships and dancing, and various comic riffs, including a visit to the "Institute of Snap!
