Movie: Wild River (1960)

Film Synopsis:
A young field administrator for the TVA comes to rural Tennessee to oversee the construction of a dam on the Tennessee River. He met opposition from local residents, in particular a farmer who objected to his employment (with wages) of local black workers. Most of the plot revolves around the eviction of an old woman from her home on an island in the river, and the young mans love affair with the womans widows grandson.
