Film Synopsis:
The Earnshaws are Yorkshire farmers during the early 19th century. One day, Mr. Earnshaw returns from a trip to town, bringing with him a ragged little boy named Heathcliff. Earnshaws son, Hindley, hates the child, but Heathcliff becomes a companion and soul mate to Hindleys sister, Catherine. After her parents died, Cathy and Heathcliff grew up wild and free on the Moors and despite the constant hostility between Hindley and Heathcliff they were happy - until Cathy met Edgar Linton, the son of a rich neighbour.
