Movie: A Month in Thailand (2012)
Film Synopsis:
In Bucharest on a winter morning, a couple makes love. Adina wants to move in with her boyfriend Radu as soon as possible. He, on the other hand, was a little more reluctant but seemed to just tolerate her plan. Today is New Years Eve and Radu and Adina have a lot to do: the two have planned a visit to Adinas parents followed by a party with friends. While buying a last minute gift at the supermarket, Radu thinks he sees Nadjas ex-boyfriend, who he has never forgotten. In one small moment, Radus insecurities about Adina come bubbling to the surface. No sooner had the cork started to pop than the relationship came to an abrupt end. This is followed by a timely offer from Radus friend Alex to hit the town with him and his friends. Radu accepts the offer in the hope that Nadja will also come out. Director Paul Negogescu draws Radus portrait with precision and subtle irony - and captures the atmosphere of New Years Eve with extraordinary authenticity.
