Movie: Becket (1964)

Film Synopsis:
King Henry II of England had problems with the church. When the Archbishop of Canterbury died, he had a brilliant idea. Instead of appointing another pious cleric loyal to Rome and the Church, he would appoint his old drinking and dismissive friend, Thomas Becket, technically a deacon of the church, to the post.
