Film Synopsis:
Sixteen-year-old Joanna has been living with her overbearing aunt, Martha, in a low-income NYC tenement since an outburst of violence left her struggling with feelings of he could only describe as "darkness." Little did he know that weeks after moving in, a biological threat from the Soviet Union would see the building rise and the tenants locked inside. It had been one month since they were first exiled. With food dwindling and Marthas controversial role as leader growing, Joanna realizes she must face the darkness and her aunt to save the tenants.
