Film Synopsis:
Sixteen-year-old Arturs love story is interrupted by the First World War. Having lost his mother and his home, he found some solace in joining the army, as this was the first time that national battalions were permitted in the Russian Empire. But the war is nothing like Arthur imagined - no glory, no justice. It was brutal and painful. Arturs is now completely alone as the war took the lives of his father and brother. Also, no progress was made in the promised quick resolution of the war and timely return. In the idea that only he himself cares about returning home and his homeland is just a playground for other countries, Arturs finds the strength for the final battle and finally returns home to start everything from scratch, like a new-born country.
