Movie: Germany in Autumn (1978)
Film Synopsis:
Germany in autumn has no plot per se; It mixes documentary footage, along with standard film scenes, to give audiences a feel for Germany during the late 1970s. The film covers a two-month time period during 1977 when a businessman was kidnapped, and later murdered, by left-wing terrorists known as the RAF-Rote Armee Fraktion (Red Army Fraction). The businessman had been kidnapped in an attempt to secure the release of the leaders of the RAF Orginal, also known as the Baader-Meinhof gang. When a kidnapping attempt and a plane hijacking attempt failed, three of the RAFs most prominent leaders, Andreas Baader, Gudrun Ensslin, and Jan-Carl Raspe, all committed suicide in prison. It has become an article of faith in the left-wing community that the three were actually murdered by the state. Uploaded by: Freeman January 1, 2020 at 07:13 am
