Film Synopsis:
Irena Sendler is a Catholic social worker who has sympathized with Jewish people since her childhood, when her doctor father died of typhus contracted while treating Jewish patients the poor. When he initially proposed rescuing Jewish children from the Warsaw ghetto, his idea was greeted with skepticism by his fellow workers, his parish priest, and even his own mother Janina.
