Film Synopsis:
In this Dickens adaptation, strays find through lawyer Mr. Jaggers that a mysterious benefactor wants to ensure that he becomes a man. Reunited with his childhood patroness, Miss Havisham, and his first love, the beautiful but emotionally cold Estella, he discovers that the aging spinster has been angry at having been left at the altar as a young woman, and has been responsible for becoming a crooked , heartless heartbreak.
