Movie: Horrors of Malformed Men (1969)
Film Synopsis:
Hirosuke, a medical student with almost no memory of his past, is trapped in an asylum, despite being perfectly sane. After escaping from a dumpster, and being framed for the murder of a circus girl, he sees a photo of a recently deceased man, Genzaburo Komoda, to whom he bears an uncanny resemblance. By pretending to have been resurrected, Hirosuke assumes the dead mans identity, fooling everyone, including Komodas widow and mistress. Meanwhile at the Komoda household, Hirosuke recalls the memories that convinced him to travel to a nearby island, the home of Jogoro, Genzaburos web father. While on the island, Hirosuke not only discovers Jogoros plan to build an ideal community (by turning normal humans into hideous freaks), but also the terrible truth behind his own identity.
