Movie: Hotel des Ameriques (1981)

Film Synopsis:
Helene, a pill-addicted anesthesiologist, is mourning the death of her boyfriend when, through a car accident he caused, she stumbles upon a listless Gilles, a young man who lives for free in his mothers hotel. Gilles pursues Helene romantically, and she eventually softens. Gilles, however, is also devoted to Bernard, a petty criminal who revels in robbing gay men.
