Movie: Island of the Blue Dolphins (1964)

Film Synopsis:
Based on the beloved book by Scott ODell, this family film tells the story of The Adventures of a Young American Girl. After her father is murdered by an evil white trapper, Karana joins his community when they leave their island home in the Pacific to live on the mainland. After he left, Karana realized that her brother had been left behind. He immediately swims back to be with her and the two remain on the abandoned island. Although Karana was able to tame a wolf, her brother was not so lucky with animals and was killed by a pack of wild dogs. He was left to survive against the odds.
